The Ole Miss Rebels added another strong transfer portal piece on Wednesday afternoon in the form of wide receiver Traylon Ray, formerly of the West Virginia Mountaineers. Ray made his decision official with a post on social media which you can view below.

Former West Virginia transfer portal wide receiver Traylon Ray plans to visit Ole Miss, per 247Sports. The 6-foot-1.5, 185-pound Ray participated in 10 games for West Virginia this past season, catching 28 balls for 426 yards and four touchdowns.

Ole Miss earned a commitment from former West Virginia wide receiver Traylon Ray on Wednesday evening. It did not take him long to make his decision, either, as he committed in the middle of his visit with the Rebels. Ray had a successful season in 2024, reeling in 28 receptions for 426 yards with 4 touchdowns for the Mountaineers.

On Monday night, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported that Washington Huskies transfer cornerback Thaddeus Dixon had released the top four schools he is considering out of the portal, and Ole Miss made the cut. The Rebels are joined by the Tennessee Volunteers, North Carolina Tar Heels and Michigan Wolverines.

One of the Iowa Hawkeyes‘ offensive targets is off the board. Iowa was reportedly set to host former Northern Illinois wide receiver Cam Thompson for a visit Jan. 9-10, but that’s off the table following Thompson’s commitment to Mississippi State.
