The Powerball jackpot is now at $65 million after no one picked the winning numbers on Saturday, Jan. 31.

A teacher in the Kansas City area won big on a Powerball ticket, but more than one person will take part in the winnings. The ticket was purchased for the Dec. 20, 2025, Powerball drawing — which offered a $1.5 billion jackpot — at Casey’s, 1202 N. 7 Highway, in Blue Springs.

The Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each sold in New Jersey for Saturday’s lottery drawing were bought in Essex and Mercer counties, officials said. One third-prize ticket was purchased at Liquor Zone on Broadway in Newark, the other at ShopRite on Route 33 in Hamilton Square, the New Jersey Lottery said Monday.
