UConn President Radenka Maric introduces Jonathan XV, ⁦UConn⁩’s newest and cutest mascot-in-training at the Storrs campus Wednesday, June 28.

In March 2024, Jonathan XV, a UConn husky, testified before the Connecticut Administration and Elections Committee, highlighting the unifying role that huskies play in the community.

The husky will be on the sidelines when the UConn women’s basketball team hosts Creighton at Gampel Pavilion. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. Jonathan XIV was introduced as UConn’s 14th mascot in early 2014.

For 90 years Huskies have represented UConn as the school’s mascot. Jonathan XV took over the role March 3 and represents UConn at athletics matches, campus events, and other venues.
