After managing to luck out and escape severe weather Saturday, more chances are on the horizon over the next 24 hours. The first chance will come this morning as another complex of storms develops to our west and undergoes an uncertain evolution as it approaches.

Rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast to sweep across the Midwest region over the next 24 hours. Strong, slow-moving thunderstorms could produce torrential rain and trigger flash flooding in areas receiving the heaviest precipitation.
