Nvidia is cozying up to the incoming Trump administration after criticizing a new AI framework just announced by the Biden administration. The rules are meant to keep advanced chips and AI models under the control of the United States and its allies, but the President-elect will have the final decision on whether to enforce them.

Just a week to Trump’s inauguration the Biden administration is still making policies. The outgoing administration updated the export rule, which is designed to regulate the flow of AI to “adversaries” like China.

Nvidia blasted the Biden administration for implementing “misguided” rules limiting shipments of AI computer chips – and praised incoming President-elect Donald Trump – in a rare public broadside on Monday.
