Never write off Derek Chisora. The indomitable British heavyweight, at the ripe old age of 41, has secured himself another shot at the world title with a superb points victory over the Swede Otto Wallin in Manchester.

Chisora (35-13, 23 KOs) is probably the most popular current fighter in the sport who sports a record with double-digit losses. But he has won two straight vs. Joe Joyce and Gerald Washington, and he’s hung tough in recent years vs. Oleksandr Usyk and Joseph Parker. Clearly, Chisora is slowing down, but he can still fight.

Former world light middleweight champion Liam Smith has advised Derek Chisora to retire after his win over Otto Wallin on Saturday night. Billed as his last fight in the UK, and possibly the last of his boxing career, Chisora wound back the clock and beat Wallin convincingly by unanimous decision.
