Michigan sees a slight drop in gas prices ahead of the Fourth of July, with an average of $3.26 per gallon, although prices remain higher than a month ago but lower than last year.

Gas prices declined 3 cents per gallon in Michigan over the past week, AAA-The Auto Club Group reported Monday.

The average fuel price in the Midwest region rose about 8 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the region in the last year have been as low as $2.81 on Dec. 9, 2024, and as high as $3.48 on July 29, 2024.
