A Powerball player is about to get richer after a stop at an Atlanta-area gas station. The lucky player won $2 million in the drawing Wednesday, July 23, narrowly missing the estimated $326 million jackpot, according to the Georgia Lottery.
The Hoosier Lottery says a winning Powerball ticket that correctly matched four out of the five numbers and the Powerball in Wednesday night's drawing was sold at a Hamilton County gas station. The ticket, worth $50,000, was sold at the Speedway located at 1005 South Peru Street in Cicero.
A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold for the July 23 drawing at the Walmart Supercenter located at 329 S.
More than 470,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $2 million, the lottery said.
The Powerball winning numbers are in for the Monday, July 21 drawing with a jackpot back of $308 million ($137.7 million cash value). The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.4 million and sold in January 2024 at Food Castle in Grand Blanc.
