Friday evening, members of the queer community and allies gathered in the Cedar House Gallery, for the opening reception of SPECTRUM. In partnership with the Savannah Pride Center, the exhibit is a celebration or pride and powerful stories in the LGBTQIA community.

The Queen of My Dreams will premiere June 20 in theaters via WILLA and Product of Culture. Unfolding over the course of 24 hours on Valentine’s Day in New Jersey, Ponyboi follows a young intersex sex worker who must run from the mob after a drug deal goes sideways.

Saturday’s event featured performances by Denver’s Mile High Freedom Band and Colorado drag queen Miss Jessica. CHEER Colorado, an adult cheerleading nonprofit, also came to show support for the local LGBTQ community. Although new entertainers are brought in each year, the spirit of the festival remains, Dunbar said.
