The drafted lyrics to Bob Dylan's 'Mr. Tambourine Man' — that he threw away in 1965 — were sold for over $500k by Julien’s Auctions on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Two pages of lyrics, written in the kitchen of a pioneering rock ‘n’ roll journalist, offer glimpses into the Nobel Prize-winning musician’s writing process.

The original lyrics came from the personal collection of late American journalist Al Aronowitz and date back to early 1964.
