Another small earthquake shook part of Maine on Sunday, but this one was no where near the magnitude 3.8 that hit off the coast of York Harbor in January. That quake was followed by a couple of notable aftershocks.

Another earthquake was recorded in Maine, but this one was more than 250 miles from the quake that rocked southern Maine last month. The 2.5 magnitude earthquake at 8:56 p.m. Sunday was centered 21 miles northwest of Millinocket.

PISCATAQUIS COUNTY, Maine (WABI) - A small earthquake was occurred in northern Maine Sunday night. The United States Geological Society says the magnitude 2.5 earthquake was reported 21.7 miles northwest of Millinocket at 8:56 p.m. The most recent earthquake reported in Maine was on Feb. 2 about miles southeast of York Harbor.
