A man who was sucked into an MRI machine and suffered severe injuries on Long Island has died, according to police.

The man was wearing a large metal necklace when he entered a room where the machine, which uses a powerful magnetic field to create images, was operating.

Long Island Police say Keith McAllister defied orders to stay out of the MRI room, but his family tells a much different story.
