The 2025-26 NBA season should be an exciting one with new broadcasts on NBC, Peacock and Amazon Prime. With the influx of superstar talent comes a new presentation to the game, starting on opening night with a matchup between the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder, a battle between the top two seeds in the Western Conference last season.

• March 9, Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder. A game that is part of the Peacock NBA Monday season (with the games streaming every Monday exclusively on Peacock), we get the last two MVPs — the Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic — facing off. This also could well be a Western Conference Finals preview.

The Rockets have 28 nationally televised games, including four on ABC; seven on Amazon Prime; six on ESPN; seven on NBC; and four on Peacock.
