The Princess Royal, 74, spent five nights at Southmead Hospital in Bristol following a serious incident involving a horse at her home in Gloucestershire in June last year

The royal told the staff at Bristol’s Southmead Hospital that she doesn’t remember the details of her injury, adding “sadly, I don’t have huge memories of being in here either.”

Princess Anne has thanked hospital staff who treated her for a head injury last summer. The Princess Royal visited Southmead Hospital in Bristol on Thursday for a tour of the building, meeting with some of the doctors, nurses and health professionals involved in her care.
