Ronald Acuña Jr. injury: Braves star lands on IL with calf strain as Atlanta's ugly season continues
Acuña exited Tuesday's game in the sixth inning after chasing after a foul ball along the line and a double into the gap by back-to-back batters. He was able to walk off the field under his own power, albeit gingerly, which is nonetheless encouraging. Walking with a significant Achilles injury is pretty much impossible.

Ronald Acuna injury update: Braves star heads to IL after Achilles tightness
The Braves officially placed Acuna on the 10-day injured list Wednesday morning with right Achilles tendon inflammation. Outfielder Jarred Kelenic was recalled to take his place on the big-league roster. Acuna is expected to have an MRI on Wednesday.
