Android Studio 4.0 has released today, and it's a massive update with a variety of new designing and building tools for developers.
After two years of development, Google today released Android Studio 1.0, the first stable version of its Integrated Development Environment (IDE) aimed at Android developers.
Previously, you'd have to download Android Studio or the SDK to get these, which are a 400MB-1.6GB download. Even the smaller command line tools download is still 200-300MB.
Developer Console Updates and Beta/Staged Rollouts After the Studio announcement, new features to help developers get their apps in the hands of beta testers were announced.
