After yet another fire broke out in Los Angeles, images circulating on social media suggested the iconic landmark had gone up in flames.

The sign overlooks Hollywood from Mount Lee, in the Santa Monica Mountains, and is not currently located in an evacuation zone, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Fire officials say the flames consumed about 43 acres of land before their aggressive attack stopped forward progress.
