Microsoft has made some grudging concessions to the PC gaming mods scene by adding support for mods to select games via its Xbox app for Windows 10.

The Xbox App on PC is getting a major boost, offering mod support for a growing number of games, with FTL: Faster Than Light and Into the Breach among the first.

Microsoft pledged greater support for mods on the Xbox (Beta) app, and this is the first appearance of that promise on the app to date.

Modding games from the Microsoft Store will soon be a lot easier. Microsoft is internally testing an update to the Xbox app that will let people freely access the folders games are in.
