Open the Paint application and import the image you wish to modify. In the Microsoft Paint app on Windows 11, featuring an image with a bird, locate the Remove Background option in the Command bar.

That will remove the program from your computer and the option to open a file in Paint 3D should no longer appear after that.

Windows 11/10 now makes it possible for users to finally edit their screenshots taken with the Snipping Tool in Paint 3D with a simple click of the mouse.

Microsoft has updated the support article to note Paint will now be available in the Windows Store, and its main functions integrated into the new Paint 3D app.
