Populating a dropdown with a dynamic list is easy thanks to Microsoft Excel’s UNIQUE() dynamic array function.

The UNIQUE function in Excel 365 is designed to extract distinct values from a given range of data.

Input the ROWS function into that cell using the first and last cells of that column, not including the column heading. After that, you will know how many unique values are in that column.
