Magnolia Pictures has landed North American rights to “One to One: John & Yoko,” a documentary that offers an expansive and revealing look at the transformative 18 months of one of music’s most famous couples.

Macdonald won a Feature Documentary Oscar for 2000’s One Day in September which follows the 1972 Munich Summer Olympic Games when Palestinian terrorist group Black September held Israeli athletes hostage. Macdonald has also directed such feature films as The Mauritanian, The Eagle, the Oscar winning The Last King of Scotland, and Black Sea.
