Stephon Castle confirmed he will participate in the Slam Dunk Contest, and the Spurs rookie received some tips from Hall of Famer Vince Carter.

The NBA announced that the tipoff for the Spurs' game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, Feb. 5, has been moved to 6 p.m. CST. The game will still be televised nationally on ESPN, but fans across South and Central Texas can watch it locally on FanDuel Sports Network Southwest.

The Slam Dunk Contest is perhaps the most exciting part of the NBA All-Star Weekend. This season, one of the league’s brightest young stars will participate and try to make an impact. The San Antonio Spurs took Castle with the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NBA draft out of UConn. Castle was the Big East freshman of the year as the Huskies won the national championship. The rookie has started 25 games for the Spurs this season and is averaging 11 points, three rebounds and two assists this season.
