John Sykes, the legendary hard-rock guitarist who was a member of White Snake and Thin Lizzy has died at 65 following a battle with cancer, a post on Sykes’ Facebook page confirmed Monday night.

British guitarist John Sykes, best known for his work with rock bands Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake, has died aged 65 “after a hard fought battle with cancer,” according to a statement on his website.

In addition to her nominations, Swift’s groundbreaking Eras Tour will be honored as “tour of the century,” a new award.

John Sykes died from cancer at age 65. The guitarist played for both Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake before joining Blue Murder with Tony Franklin and drummer Carmine Appice.

Morgan Wallen earns his 16th No. 1 on Billboard ’s Country Airplay chart as “Love Somebody” lifts a spot to the top of the tally dated Feb. 1. The song, which he co-wrote, increased by 9% to 33.8 million audience impressions Jan. 17-23, according to Luminate.
