French basketball fans can breathe easy - the Spurs organization, perhaps not so much. Victor Wembanyama is all in for EuroBasket 2025.

Spurs acting head coach Mitch Johnson has risen to the occasion after stepping into the spot occupied the legendary Gregg Popovich.

To go along with a 140-110 win, the 7'3" 21-year-old center was a highlight reel machine. In 32 minutes of play, Wembanyama pulled off a self-alley-oop from just inside the free-throw line, dished out another to his teammate Jeremy Sochan, played lock-down defense, and was the Spurs' leading scorer on the afternoon.

The forward has missed four game in a row with a back injury, but acting Spurs coach Mitch Johnson said he could play in the "next game or two."

Despite strong fan support, Victor Wembanyama was not named a starter for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, missing out on the Western Conference lineup.
