Samsung has announced that One UI 7, its smartphone software based on Android 15, will start rolling out to existing phones and tablets from April 7th worldwide, with a US rollout slightly later on April 10th.

In fact, the release date supplied by Samsung only refers to the start of the One UI 7 rollout. While those using the Samsung Galaxy S24 series users, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will get the update on April 7, users of older Galaxy devices have even more waiting ahead.

Android 15 has been on Google Pixel phones since October 15, but even before then there were rumors of delays on Samsung’s end with its One UI 7 implementation. Though a beta for S24 devices arrived in December, a full stable release was eventually kicked into 2025.
