An Australian teenager from near Brisbane died on Monday after being bitten by a shark nearly 100 yards from the beach, according to reports.

Paramedics rushed to the scene but couldn’t save the teen, who succumbed to life-threatening upper body injuries 15 minutes later, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
