Around 1920, with support from the Julius Rosenwald Fund and the church, the Bethel School, also known as the Blythewood Colored School, moved into a two-teacher building on its current site.

EUGENE, Ore. – The Bethel School District in Eugene is exploring the possibility of a 90-minute late start time on Wednesdays, which would be implemented at all schools except Kalapuya High School.

Sergeant McGuire has served the past five years as the school resource officer for Bethel Schools. Sergeant Rob Morando was promoted to patrol lieutenant where he will oversee one of the night shifts.
