According to ESPN, the team has restructured CeeDee Lamb’s contract to create $20 million in salary cap space. Lamb and the Cowboys notably agreed to a four-year extension worth $136 million in 2024. The playmaker received a $38 million signing bonus, which was the highest for a receiver in league history.

Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million contract extension with the Cowboys last offseason, checking in $1 million per year behind Justin Jefferson at the top of the wide receiver market. The Cowboys kept his cap number artificially low in Year 1 of the deal and built in future restructures with larger base salaries in 2025, 2026 and 2027.

Earlier this week, the Dallas Cowboys restructured the contracts of quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb which has freed up $56.6 million in cap space.
