The Detroit Pistons will be looking for a new backup point guard as Dennis Schröder has reportedly signed with the Sacramento Kings.

The Pistons lost one of their most productive role players, as Dennis Schröder agreed to a three-year deal with the Kings, according to reports.

The BIG3 league announced earlier this year that Detroit had been awarded a franchise. The Amplifiers, coached by NBA Hall of Famer George "Iceman" Gervin, made their debut June 14 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, against the Chicago Triplets. The team's home opener is Sunday, July 20, at Little Caesars Arena.

Despite its success in metro Detroit, the team was losing money and in October 2009 it was announced that the Shock would move to Tulsa, Okla., under new ownership. Longtime Pistons owner Bill Davidson also owned the Shock and his widow, Karen Davidson, sold the team after her husband died in March 2009.
