The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Johnson County, Wyandotte County, Cass County and Jackson County

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Kansas City metro area as thunderstorms sweep across the region on Monday morning.

Since January, more than 3,100 flash flood warnings have been issued nationwide — the highest year-to-date total since tracking began for alerts in 1986.

At 11:58 a.m. on Friday, the NWS San Diego CA released an updated flash flood warning in effect until 2 p.m. for San Bernardino County.

The warning was issued for Ashe County. "The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures," states the NWS Blacksburg VA. The warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

At 5:31 p.m. on Saturday, the NWS Raleigh NC issued a flash flood warning in effect until 8:45 p.m. The warning is for Alamance, Guilford, Orange and Person counties.

The warning was in place for San Bernardino County. "The heavy rain has ended in the Primm area. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures. A Flood Watch remains in effect until 11 p.m. for portions of northwest Arizona and Nevada," says the NWS Las Vegas NV.

On Wednesday at 6:46 p.m. a flash flood warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 10:45 p.m. for Middlesex and Somerset counties.

A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Melbourne at 11:08 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15.
