Ever spotted something interesting on your screen and wished you could instantly search for it? Google's bringing that power to iPhone users with its new screen search feature, letting you search for anything you see directly through Chrome or the Google app.

The AI-powered feature, which lets you quickly search for whatever's on your screen, is rolling out to iOS users this week.

Google expands 'Circle to Search' to its iOS apps, enhancing visual search for iPhone users. Google is expanding ‘Circle to Search’ to iPhones, allowing users to search for anything on their screens. Google isn’t calling it by that name, though, because you can use “whatever gesture comes naturally.”

You can now use a feature that's very similar to Android's "circle-to-search" on iPhone. While it's not exactly called that, both the Chrome app and the Google app will now allow you to circle text or images to search whatever's in your selection using Google Lens.

Google is rolling out a new Circle to Search-like feature for iPhone users that lets them highlight anything on their screen to quickly search for it. But it's still very limited. Google introduced Circle to Search on select premium Android smartphones in early 2024.
