A Powerball ticket worth $138 million sold in July in Huber Heights, Ohio, has expired after no one stepped forward to claim the jackpot, according to the Ohio Lottery. The deadline was Monday, six months after the ticket was sold at a Walmart in Huber Heights.
Had the winner come forward, they would have had the option to take the annuity prize payable over 30 years or the cash option prize of $65.8 million.
A Stanly County resident won $1 million in the Powerball, with the winning ticket sold at the Friendly Mart in Albemarle.
The Powerball ticket was the second sold in New Jersey that hit a second prize for $2 million in less than a week.
