Indian scientists decode mysterious signal pattern coming from deep spaceThey found a repeating pattern: a few hundred seconds of dim X-ray light, followed by a similar period of bright light.
The object, named NGC 6099 HLX-1, first appeared in 2009. Chandra caught the bright X-ray flash near the galaxy’s outskirts.
