Paul Finebaum is still out on Ryan Day as the top coach in college football despite winning the national championship Monday night. Finebaum gave the Buckeyes’ coach his due, but he’s still a step below a certain someone in the SEC: Kirby Smart.

After Ohio State won the national championship on Monday SEC Network host Paul Finebaum admitted that the Big Ten is the top conference in college football.

Following the game, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum spoke about the current state of college football. Finebaum was asked if the national title win cemented the Buckeyes' Ryan Day as the best head coach in college football. The ESPN analyst was quick to turn that down, while giving credit to Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart .

ESPN personality Paul Finebaum has always been very supportive of the SEC, but even he can't defend the conference this week. For the second season in a row, a member of the Big Ten won the national championship.
