BAY VILLAGE, Ohio (WJW) – The National Weather Service has confirmed a fifth tornado that touched down during last week’s storms, causing widespread damage and power outages across Northeast Ohio.
The National Weather Service (NWS) currently have crews out in Northeast Ohio to survey for damage following Tuesday’s severe weather.
“Overall, the storms on August 6, 2024 brought a total of 5 tornadoes to the area along with numerous instances of straight-line wind damage across the region,” the NWS wrote in a second post.
