In another sure sign of fall, a beloved tradition returns with the opening of the annual Volusia County Fair, which starts its 11-day run on Thursday at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand.

New beach parking charges and rules went into place in Volusia County on Jan. 1, and since then, commercial fishermen say it’s had a big impact on business.

Danny Dietrich will be among the local drivers competing at Volusia County Speedway, while the Donny Kreitz Jr. team will have Christopher Bell on board.
