One man is dead following a Christmas morning shooting in Columbus. Columbus police were called to the 1700 block of East Weber Road in North Linden around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday onn a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found Demetris Mitchell, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police.

In a swift response, the Katy Police Department arrested 18-year-old Aaron Noe Chavez and a juvenile following a shooting at Katy Mills Mall on December 23, 2024. No injuries were reported, and the suspects, linked to an ongoing feud, were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A man was found shot to death in a Richmond apartment building on Christmas Day. Police responded to the scene at around 9:30 p.m. on Clarkson Road, near the intersection with Southwood Parkway in South Richmond.
