The coffee was sold in 47 states and Puerto Rico between July 9 and July 21. Dollar General didn't say how many containers were included in the three lots of coffee that were distributed, or how many were sold before the recall went out.

Instant coffee products sold at Dollar General stores nationwide have been recalled due to the "potential presence of glass," according to the company. Dollar General has voluntarily recalled three lots of its 8-ounce Clover Valley Instant Coffee sold in 48 states, the company said in an announcement posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Certain jars of instant coffee are being pulled from Dollar General locations around the country after a customer reported the potential presence of glass.
