President Donald Trump has signed a flurry of executive actions on Day 1. He has repealed dozens of former President Joe Biden’s actions, begun his immigration crackdown, withdrawn the U.S. from the Paris climate accords and sought to keep TikTok open in the U.

We’re tracking the executive orders Trump signed on his first day in office, just hours after being inaugurated as president.

Trump, who said he would not be a dictator “except for Day 1” of his presidency, signed a record number of executive orders on Monday.

Trump began his first day as the 47th president of the United States with a dizzying display of force, signing a blizzard of executive orders that signaled his desire to remake American institutions while also pardoning nearly all of his supporters who rioted at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Mr. Trump’s decision to intervene in even the most violent cases sends an unmistakable message about his plans for power these next four years: He intends — even more so than in his first term — to test the outer limits of what he can get away with.

“Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America, and the revolution of common sense,” said Trump, who at midday Monday became only the second U.S. president to serve nonconsecutive terms, after Grover Cleveland in the late 1800s.
