Nothing specific has been revealed linking Johnson to the match, despite Rhodes's subliminal clues, such as his use of The Rock's trademark sunglasses.

Earlier this year, The Rock appeared to be positioned as Cody Rhodes' chief antagonist. But on March 1 at the Elimination Chamber premium live event, he helped facilitate John Cena's shocking heel turn, setting the stage for what looked like a multi-man storyline heading into WrestleMania 41.

WWE Raw began on Monday night by honoring late Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. The event featured a video tribute and a 10-bell salute in Hogan's memory at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Hogan's son Nick Hogan and longtime friend Eric Bischoff were both on stage during the tribute.
