The Los Angeles Chargers announced they officially elevated S Eddie Jackson and S Kendall Williamson from the practice squad to the active roster for Week 17.

The team also announced they have elevated safety Eddie Jackson and safety Kendall Williams from the practice squad. Jackson, a two-time Pro Bowler, played nine games with four starts with the Ravens before his release Nov. 23. The Chargers signed him to the practice squad Dec. 23.

After losing one safety to injury, the Chargers have added a veteran to the practice squad. Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the team has placed Marcus Maye on injured reserve. Meanwhile, the team announced that they’ve added Eddie Jackson to the taxi squad. To make room, the team has released running back John Kelly.

Johnson was claimed by the Houston Texans Monday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, after he was released by Baltimore on Friday last week. The Texans were looking for wide receiver help after Tank Dell went down with a season-ending knee injury Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
