WASHINGTON — Joe Biden on Monday wrapped up a more than 50-year political career, but promised that “we're not leaving the fight,” as he bid farewell to the presidency and flew to California to unwind with his family and ease back into private life.

Biden has spent 50 years in public office, from New Castle County Council to the Senate, to Vice President, to his final moments as the 46th President. His next move takes him on vacation to Santa Ynez, just north of Santa Barbara. Reports are he'll stay at the estate of his friend and billionaire Democratic donor Joe Kiani.
