The Kansas Highway Patrol is reporting its Christmas activity. The holiday ran from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024.

Several fire crews battled a house fire southwest of Augusta. The fire started around 6 a.m. on Friday at a home near SW Santa Fe Lake Road and SW 110th Street.
