A Russian air attack overnight on a residential area in Kharkiv killed three people, including a toddler, and injured 17, Ukrainian authorities said on Monday, as the United States presses Kyiv to take a quick deal to end a war Moscow started.

In Kharkiv, Russian troops launched a series of strikes on residential areas. 5 people were killed, over 30 were injured or suffered acute shock, according to Ukraine's Prosecutor General and the mayor of the city,

Ukrainian officials said the deadly strikes were a further sign that Russia had no intention of halting hostilities.
