The San Francisco 49ers’ practice schedule began a day later than normal with a Monday night showdown against the Detroit Lions coming up in Week 17. Their practice report opened with some good news on the injury front. Running back Isaac Guerendo returned as a limited participant after missing all of Week 16 with a hamstring injury.

The 49ers have been without Isaac Guerendo for most of December. But the RB helped provide a promising update Thursday.

It doesn’t sound as if the 49ers are going to cut ties with struggling kicker Jake Moody in the offseason. The way Kyle Shanahan spoke about him Thursday, they might not even give him training camp competition.
