The heavy metal band was speculated to have been the group that Sharon Osbourne disinvited from her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s final show with Black Sabbath last weekend. But co-founder Nikki Sixx recently clarified the reason for the band’s absence on X (formerly Twitter).

It was a fitting farewell for Osbourne, who gained mainstream fame with the band on the back of hits like “Iron Man” and “Paranoid” before going solo in 1980 with the chart-topper “Crazy Train.” The year prior, he was ousted from the very band he’d co-founded amid a years-long struggle with substance abuse.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 after a protracted battle with Parkinson's and a series of pain related to his back and neck surgery.
