Anderson County Sheriff's Office Emergency Management has transitioned from Everbridge to the Smart911 alert system.

Officials said the system includes Smart911, a secure platform that allows residents to create personalized safety profiles for use by first responders during emergencies.

Sometimes, 911 callers aren't able to clearly communicate about their emergency. Using a free app, Lafayette Parish residents can now make sure that first responders get information they need.
