Haddon Heights’ pitcher Sophia Bordi struck out 16 and tossed her fourth perfect game of the postseason as the No. 15 Garnets downed Jefferson 3-0 in the Group 2 final.

NORMAN — OU softball coach Patty Gasso said Tuesday that pitcher Sophia Bordi, who reclassified to the 2025 class in order to join the Sooners, did not finish the season with the team.

Bordi committed to OU in 2023. "Sophia brings a lot to the table,” OU softball coach Patty Gasso said of Bordi when she signed as part of the 2025 class.

Bordi’s mom, Danielle, swam at a high level for Texas, and she understood the value that Sophia could get by spending an extra year in Norman. “She knows about college athletics,” Gasso said.
