The recall, effective July 24, affects approximately 851,400 units sold in the United States and an additional 1,100 units in Canada. The products were available through major retailers, including Target, Amazon, Scheels, and others, from August 2023 through May 2025 and retailed for $50, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Target says it will end its policy of price matching with Amazon and Walmart, beginning on Tuesday. From now on, it will only match prices from other Target stores and Target.com. Customers and outside observers have lambasted Target for killing a perk that many people seem to appreciate.
Target is ending its price match guarantee, further eroding customer trust and pushing shoppers to Amazon and Walmart that have the competitive edge in prices.
Shoppers will no longer be able to buy an item for a lower price if they can prove that they found an identical product listed for less by Amazon or Walmart.
According to TipRanks, UBS, Cowen, and BTIG Research have all reiterated buy ratings in the last couple of months. HC Wainwright initiated coverage on the stock in April with $480 price objective, while a more bearish Monness Crespi & Hardt called it a sell with a $200 price target.
