Teamsters members voted Sunday to continue their five-week strike and contract standoff with Republic Services, which has disrupted trash and recycling services across more than a dozen Massachusetts communities.

"Your company’s failure to resolve or even meaningfully address this prolonged strike is unacceptable," Gov. Maura Healey wrote in a letter to Republic Services President and CEO Jon Vander Ark.

The time for delay and posturing is over. It is time to resolve this – now,” Gov. Maura Healey told the waste management company.
